how much Marks required in meeting to be a cardiac surgeon

Dear Aspirant,

The basic qualification needed to become a Cardiac Surgeon is an MBBS degree from any Institute approved by Medical Council of India. Then they should do three year MS in General Surgery. They should complete three year MCh in Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery after that.

You have to score a minimum of 50% in all your previous performances to advance further.

Dear Souvik, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS course. Now for becoming a surgeon you to need to crack NEET PG. NEET UG and AIIMS MBBS are entrance examinations for MBBS and other undergraduate medical courses. So once you complete MBBS along with 1 year mandatory internship, if you want to study in India, NEET PG or AIIMS PG is mandatory. But in the nest 3 years, NEET PG will be replaced. So we need to wait for the official exam information.

As per your querry, i would say that NEET got nothing to do with you becoming a Surgeon. Basically,  NEET UG is an entrance  examinatiom for admission to UG courses like MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary Courses.

What is the duration of cardiac surgeon course?

Hey Aspirant,

To become a Cardiac surgeons need a lot of time. It is one of the longest process in the medical field. It requires four years of medical school, a 5-year general surgery residency and a 2-3 year specialized cardio or cardiothoracic fellowship. Surgeons who wish to specialize further in pediatric cardiology or heart transplant surgeries may require additional training. And Similar career options in this field include Podiatrist and Cardiovascular Nurse. 

Eligibility for M.Ch. in Cardiac Surgery is an MD/ MS or DNB with a minimum aggregate score of 55%. Minimum experience of 24 months in the surgical field.

Dear Elan, NEET score had got nothing to do with you becoming a Cardiac Surgeon. Because NEET UG is an entramce examinatiom for admission to UG courses like MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary Courses. But Cardiac Surgeon is a PG Course. For studying PG, you need to appear for NEET PG. Now in the next 3 years, NEET PG will be scrapped in the favour of NEXT which is a new plan by the Government of India.
