Nivedhitha 21st Oct, 2020

Hi,

Management Quota is a government authorized system for private or deemed University by which students can secure Direct Admission in the institute. In this quota, a student won't be receiving any financial aid from the Central Government and State Government. In CMC Vellore, Fee for management quota is Rs. 48,530/- which is affordable than compared to other colleges whose fees are around Rs. 12.5 lakhs/- for management quota.

Hope this answer helps.

Thank you.

my mark is 401 for SC caste in neet 2020 will I get stanley medical college in tamil nadu?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 21st Oct, 2020

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 401 marks   you hold  may not get a seat in Stanley Medical College, Chennai

For example,
In Neet 2019, 445  marks was  the lowest marks for sc category that got a govt seat in Stanley Medical College, Chennai  under Tamilnadu State quota

Under Tamilnadu State quota you have chances for govt seat in college like:-

*Sri Muthukumaram Medical College and Hospital

To get the list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Besides Jee advance you can also give two more exams that work as a gateway to I.S.R.O

1.Through Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana(kvpy)-It is a national level fellowship   program which is held every year so that students can pursue research career in basic sciences.
KVPY exam include two levels first is Aptitude test and second is interview round.
Candidates will be eligible for IISER(  Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research)admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship.
For further information you can visit this provided link: http://kvpy.iisc.ernet.in/main/eligibility.htm

2.Through State Central Board(SCB) channel:
eligibility-
Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2020.
However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.
Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.
The selected students will be able to get admission to IISER.

Other than the above options you can opt for these following courses to work as an I.S.R.O scientist.

My Cousin secured 646 marks(All india rank around 5800), is there any chance to get Tamil nadu govt college seats, if yes, can he get Colleges in Chennai? please advice.

Abhishek Roy 19th Oct, 2020

I believe having a NEET Score of 646 as well as AIR of 5800, and probably Tamil Nadu Home State Quota your cousin can easily get allotted Government or State Medical Institutes in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu has excellent medical schools in almost every district. Another excellent Medical school is CMC  Vellore, though it is private but provides excellent medical education at a low cost and is also one of the Top Medical institutes in India.

As far as Chennai is concerned your cousin should target Madras Medical College, Government Kilpauk Medical College, PGIMSR, Stanley Medical College and many other Top Medical Colleges with Excellent Infrastructure, Faculty and Hospital Facilities. Do keep an eye on the Government and State Medical Counselling and Procedure. For more information and college prediction do follow the link below.

But based on the analysis of the experts, on the and going by previous years data, with this score a few Colleges that you may have a shot at, you have a chance in:

  • Coimbatore Medical College
  • Madurai Medical College
  • Dharmapuri Medical College
