I got 530 in Neet ug 2022.....what college can I get in West Bengal?...I belong to general category and I opt for state quota... please help

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th Jul, 2022

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that,

>>>>>> with 530 marks  ,

you hold low chance to get mbbs seat in a Government Medical College

For example,

In Neet 2020,  for mbbs  seat in Government Medical College under west Bengal state quota for general category  36907 was closing rank when translated into marks it was around  568 marks in neet 2020 and it was for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

You can check the same at

  • ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia

Also,

You have chances in deemed universities for mbbs which are listed below

----------) SDU Medical College, Kolar

----------) SBKS Med. Inst. and Res. Centre, Sumandeep  Vadodara

----------) Yenepoya Manglaore

- ---------) Symbiosis , Pune

----------) K.S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru

----------) Rural Medical College and PIMS, Loni

This  prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cutoff keeps changing every year  due to   many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in   which you have to chances and

Will I get any government college or state quota in private medical college with 550 marks general category , from West Bengal ?

vyshnava kumar 18th Jul, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing absolutely great.

So with regard to your query, as per your expected marks scored in the NEET exam, your rank will be above 1 lakh and you might not get a seat in the All India Quota, however, there are chances for you to get admission into BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Veterinary or any other private colleges and government colleges as well in the state quota, this will be basing upon your category, but it is not compulsory, you might get it basing upon the vacant seats.

Checkout this NEET college predictor to know about the predicted colleges for your marks: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Hope this helps you!!

Ishan Katoch 18th Jul, 2022

Dear Aspirant.

Considering your category and percentile , your CRL (Common Rank List) is nearly 343201 . With this score, these are the following Govt . colleges that you may apply for in West Bengal .

  • Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a BTech course in GKCIET is to have cleared 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with WBJEE counselling for WB candidates and JEE Mains + JoSAA/CSAB counselling for other candidates.

www.gkciet.ac.in is the official website of GKCIET.

But, I would not recommend this college for placement purpose. If you want to placed in better company after studying from this college then you should develop certain skills which are required for placement.

if I take two drop years, the 12 th number will be deducted when i get admission in college in west bengal?

kalpanasharmaks121 16th Jul, 2022

Hey,

No, there is no such thing that exists. Even if you have a 2 or more two-year gap, your marks in class 12 will not be deducted. This thing is applicable to any course of any stream in all the colleges. However, you need to submit a gap certificate which will state the reason for the gap in the format prescribed by the concerned statutory body.

Hope it helps.
