singh.sambhavi09 14th Sep, 2020
Yes, you can use the digilocker marksheet given your marksheet has not yet been received by you. It is a genuine reason, so you have nothing to worry about and you can also go through the rules for counselling, and if they state otherwise, you can contact them on the toll free number or of the college and tell them about your problem and they will guide you through it. Good luck!

I am dropper and I get admission in private colleges through wbjee, so in placement time there is any problem??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 13th Sep, 2020

hi,

see it depends  on how many years of year gap you have. however most of the mncs has consideration of  up to 2 years of year gap , however during the placement you would be asked the reasons behind your gap in academic course. however there is ample of work opportunities available if you work hard and belongs to a tier 1 college. make sure you have 60% or above in 10th and 12th, as for the academic criteria for mncs.

hope it would help.

if I pay seat acceptance fee of Rs40000 and accept the seat but dont take adms. is the money refunded.

ARYAN SAGAR 13th Sep, 2020
Yes, definitely you will get your amount refunded after deducting the processing charges, that is, Rs 1500.
If you have already accepted a seat, then also you can withdraw the accepted seat before the last round of jossa counseling by appearing at the reporting center. After last round counseling no refunding will be done, if you have not taken the seat.
To get the refund you have to fill the bank account details and upload an image of cancelled cheque  and download the withdrawal request letter and then the letter must be signed by you and your parents and then report to the reporting centre with that withdrawal letter.

my 10th and 12 th percentage was 63% and 62% ..and i have gape of 2 years of wbjee in which i had done english hons. ?nd now i am going to take admissioim narula insritiute of tech . in IT sector ..so will i have to face problem in placements??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 13th Sep, 2020

hi,

see narula Institute of technology does not have very good placement records in last 4 years and less number of placements in top mncs like tcs, capgemini, cognizant like mncs. however two year academic gap are allowed in most of the mncs. so you should not face any issue at the time of placement. however you would be asked to justify the gaps, so be prepare with a reasonable answer. however I would suggest you to look for better colleges like  techno INDIA group colleges, rcc institute, FIEM , netaji subhas institute etc.

i ranked 11109 in wbjee can i get computer and science Enjeeniarig in a govt college?

ABHIK SHAW 13th Sep, 2020

Hello,

The WBJEE cutoffs have changed over the years. There is also a difference between the home state closing rank and the other state closing rank.

Based upon the rank you have secured it will be a bit tough for you to get admission in the top government colleges if you are from the general category, also your stream plays an important role here. Reserved category candidates still have chances, however all of it is dependent on the cutoff.

Considering the previous year cutoff you can try out for these colleges-

  • Haldia Institute of Technology(HIT)
  • Government College Of Engineering Ceramic Technology(Serampore)
  • NIT(Agarpara)

Would suggest you to use our college predictor-

If I pay admission fee in wbjee 2nd round...how much time I have to withdrawl my money???

Swarnabha Das 13th Sep, 2020

Dear aspirant

If you pay required sum of money in 2nd round of counselling in WBJEE then 2 things can happen.

If you take the seat allotted to you and get admission to your respective institute then the money will not be refunded. On the other side  you don't select your alloted seat and do not get admission in that particular institution then you have to apply to the wbjee board  named WBJEEB  with your bank details by which you you paid to the couselling board then you will refunded within maximum 2 weeks

can i give Wbjee in 2021 if I did my 12th in 2018????

Ankit Banerjee 12th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

WBJEE is conducted for the admission of students to the various government and private colleges of West Bengal in the Engineering and Pharmacy courses.

The WBJEE council has not stated any age limit or any limit to the number of attempts a student can take for the exam.

Untill you do not want to pursue Marine engineering, which requires a lower age limit of 17 and an upper age limit of 25 years (as of dec 2020). If you want to pursue any other course, you are fit to attempt as many number of times and for as long you want.

I hope this clears your confusion regarding the WBJEE.

I have got a Wbjee seat in the (Incycle Round 1) of wbjee counseling. My doubt is that is there any way that the college rejects my right to admission in that college despite of getting a seat in that college? (I do have all the documents and other stuffs). Is the any other way they denie my right?

shankhalikamallick 23rd Oct, 2020

Hi aspirant!

If you have acquired a seat in WBJEE counselling 1 and you have selected option "freeze" for that college then it is sure that you will get that college. However if you have opted for "float" option in counselling then you will be given colleges as per your rank which are earlier in your priority list. If you don't get any other colleges within your rank then you will get admission the college already allotted to you in the first round. You can "freeze" your college options in any round. In that case the allotted seat remains yours and there is no upgradation.

Hope this helps!

All the best!
