This is a very relative question because for someone 10k rank would be good as per his/her expectations or can be bad too. So, I would give my review as per my judgement.

I don't think as of now 2-3k rank is even good for wbjee because I consider there is only 2-3 good colleges in wbjee and that is Jadavpur University, institute of engineering and management, heritage institute of technology.

So, among these Jadavpur has reserved its 90% seats for state candidates. I think if you are an other state candidate you should not give wbjee because it's of no use. Other colleges doesn't have much encouraging placements.

See if you have wrong DOB in your Aadhar Card then its better to keep the admission on the basis of your aadhar card date. Laterwards, you can do Aadhar Correction and then on resubmitting you can change the DOB accordingly and it will not be of much problem.

Now as your university registration will be done once you take admission in the course, then I would recommend you to talk with the officials and ask them if you can do that, if they agree then you can go for it else you have to follow the procedure I have produced above.

**You can try to have some aadhar card correction (if can be done before admission/verification) and as you do correction, the officer will give you a receipt which you can also produce on the time of admission and it can also be granted. So you have to make some efforts.

The rank which you have gained in your entrance exam is a decent one but as you are looking for the branches like CSE, IT and ECE which are currently most famous and demanding branches of Engineering hence you may definitely find difficulties due to competition but, surely you have a good chance of getting any medium range f private colleges only the thing is you should try to apply in more number of colleges so that your chance will be good of getting admission in any of it.
