NIT PATNA

Placements : Placements in NITP are average. The highest salary package offered was 42 LPA, and this was the highest package offered among all NITs. The highest package offered last year was 39 LPA, and this is also the highest package offered among all NITs that year. Placements for the students of the core branches like civil and mechanical are average.

Faculty : There is a new system named relative grading introduced this year. The entire syllabus has been revised. Every branch has introduced a core subject in the first year to prepare the students for their better future. Faculty members of our institute are highly experienced.

NIT RAIPUR

Placements : This institute assures 100% placements for all the eligible candidates of the departments like CSE and IT, etc. Other branches like mechanical and electrical departments also have a placement record of 80%. The highest salary package offered this year was 32.5 LPA and is offered for 3 CSE students and one IT student by the same company. Even the off-campus placements are pretty good. The placement scenario of the institute has really improved over these years. The placement cell of the institute is very cooperative.

Faculty : The faculty members of our college are highly experienced and qualified. Some temporary faculty are highly qualified and experienced. Teachers are cooperative and helpful. Teaching quality is in accordance with modern needs. Industry visits are organised frequently for students to get a good exposure.

Depends on a number of factors.

The stream- Not all streams or departments of any college are best. So for NIT Raipur if you are opting for Metallurgy, Mining, B.Arch then they are better than most of the NIT's with healthy placemenet record. While NIT Patna lags behind in these departments.

Placement - For core branches NIT Patna offers better placement than NIT Raipur.

Ranking - NIT Patna is higher in ranking than NIT Raipur.

Verdict - Go for NIT Patna for core branches while for certain branches which I mentioned go for NIT Raipur.

So you could go with ECE at NIT Patna.
