can i apply EWS in my Jee Main Jan attempt as per the notice of Correction Facility by NTA coz it says New people have to do fresh registration

You cannot change the January attempt category but while filling the form for April JEE mains exam the application will directly take details from your January application but you can make the necessary changes like your category in the April application form during the correction window which is from 8/3/2020-12/3/2020 and there will be fees for that correction
