can i do MCA after bsc in microbiology? is this good for a microbiology student?

Hello,

Sure, you can do MCA after completing your bsc in microbiology. MCA is a very good option to choose if you are interested in programming. But there are only a few colleges who offer MCA after any relevant degree not necessarily BCA, or mathematics. But you should have studied mathematics at intermediate level.

Some of the good colleges which offer MCA after any degree are :-

Jadavpur University

Banaras Hindu University

Jamia Millia Islamia

The answer is yes, if you are interested in computer science and coding.

MCA - Masters of Computer Applications.

The eligibility criteria for MCA is passed BCA/B.com/BSc or any other relevant degree with mathematics as one of the subject in graduation or 10+2 level with 50% aggregate, MCA Is for a duration of three years, and having math at graduation or 10+2 level is important in order to pursue the course.

The candidate must have passed Graduation in BCA or equivalent from a recognized board. The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying examination. The candidates who are in their final year of degree can also apply for admission.

Hi there,

You can pursue Master of Computer Applications or MCA after pursuing B.Sc in Microbiology. There are several eligibity criteria that an individual needs to follow.

Coming to your point of knowing it is good for microbiology student or not. It depends upon you and your interest. If you seriously want to involve yourself in IT sector and coding world then for sure MCA is the best option for you.

Eligibity criteria: A student must have Maths in their class 12th from any recognized board of India.
