See CSE deals with the Hardware and software, the organization and structure as well as Computer Architecture and development. Also it deals with software development and microprocessors development. So CSE is a broad field which concentrates on a broad era of subjects. But in IT they are mainly interested with the applied portions like Databases, Accounting etc which are purely applied part of CSE but not so lucid like BCA. You will learn coding and all the stuffs in IT but the organizational structures in computers and correlated will be of no use to your practical life experience as an IT .

So both the fields are better, if you think to have a broad range of options to be open then go for CSE and if you think to concentrate on the part of industrial sector go for IT. Although CSE and IT have equal possibility of getting jobs but sometimes companies prefer more CSE and also the salary package may be greater for CSE.

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
