see generally in btech course most of the colleges offers change of stream in second year, since the first year syllabus is almost same in all branches students may change their stream in second year if they have the cutoff percentile or marks, in MAKAUT university colleges , the rules is students need to get overall 8.5 dgpa out of 10 in first year to make stream change. however if you want to take admission again from first year you need to again appear in entrance exams, need to enroll for counselling process again, however I suggest you to contact with college authority to know in details admission process.
