Hello,
First, there are two intake periods in NUS.
August and January intake. It's analogous to
the Fall and Spring intake in US

There are two types of Master degrees
available at NUS: Research oriented and
Course work oriented. Once you decide
which one you want to do, you apply through
their online application portal. You can find
it yourself. Not much of an issue there.

But one thing which is different at NUS is
that, after you apply, you have to send the
application form and all the other supporting
documents which you already uploaded in
the online portal, to NUS by mail. (This
happened when I applied for the PhD
program. Might or might not be a different
case for Master's program.)

You will need to take either the GRE or GATE.
If you opt for GATE, you need to have above
90th percentile score. If you opt for GRE,
315 is great (in my opinion). You will also
need scans of your semester wise marksheets
while applying.

If you are applying for the research based
Master's program, you will have the option
giving a name for a faculty member with
whom you are interested in working. You can
either contact the faculty member before
applying or just mention the name without
contacting him/her. For PhD, I would
recommend you to contact the faculty
member beforehand.
Hope it helps
