It doesn't matter from which course you belong to. What does matter is the knowledge and the clarity of concepts you get when you are learning and understanding. Also, It is must to describe your thoughts and opinions on paper such that you will be able to present them perfectly.
Since you gave mentioned that you are from bsc microbiology course so, it is not a big deal to handle the vast syllabus. You can do this without any hassle. All that you need is to consistent learning and hard work in studies. No shortcuts just simple learning every topic in detail from the beginning.
Follow a strict timetable and stick to it. Also, don't take any tension, you can simply learn everything.
