As per your query about marks cutoff, you must be knowing that there is All India Quota 15 % and State government quota 85%...
Cut off by All India quota is always higher than state quota..Further in both the quota the SEAT is further divided as per category like Open, SC , OBC , ST, etc..
It will vary for each group. The Cutoff also vary in Government, Private and Deemed University, Also difffer college to college even in government /private/deemed.
The marks vary each year based on the difficulty level of the paper
BUT GOING BY PREVIOUS YEAR TREND A MBBS SEAT is obtained around 450-500 marks range..so 500+marks will be the safest score to get a MBBS seat in Kolkata government medical college.
Best of luck

Hello Pulak,

For general category a score of 490 or so will be strong enough to get you a seat in that college under state quota but to get seat under all India Quota try to score more than 530 .

Now as for SC category for the same college a score 20 to 30 marks less that general might be safe.

Hello
For getting a seat in a medical college in Kolkata preferably a government till 1 you need to score above 480 to 500 out of 720 necessarily.
How it is subject to variation on the standards of papers of different year's examinations on the performance of all the examinees
Usually it has been seen that with the general category the ending ranks for the government medical colleges within the city of Kolkata usually end between 460 and 480.
The rank usually ranging between a state rank of 600 to 800.
You can expect a drop of around 20 marks and 100 to 200 ranks for the SC category.
Offers if you want to avail the all India quota 15% seats and thereby at ensure your admission to some college in Kolkata your rank needs to be much higher with the score in excess of 500 out of 720.
Hope this helps, thank you

As there is nothing out for NEET 2018 cut off and it varies year wise as well, but in previous year the closing rank for SC category in Medical College,Kolkata was 44139 (85% quota) in round 1 so as per this much rank the score should be 450 or above as this would be the safest score to get seat there.

Good Luck!!!
