Hello.

You can be eligible under KCET only if you belong to the following criteria:

Domicile-

  • To fulfil the eligibility criteria of KCET 2019, the candidate should have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka. The academic study from a state institute should be for a minimum period of 7 years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard as on July 1 of the exam year.

  • Candidates should have appeared/passed either SSLC/10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard exam from Karnataka.

  • Candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class/standard, in such cases, the academic study years will be counted as one year only.

If you do not fulfill any of these criteria, you will not be able to get admission through KCET. However, you can try to get into colleges in Karnataka through COMEDK.

Hope this helps.
