You got promoted in your first year means you passed your first year and then in your second year examination you failed it so  right now you are in second year.

Failing second year doesn't mean that you go back to your first year failing second year means you'll have to pass your second year in order to you go in your third year

It means you are in 2nd year right now, you don't need to start again from 1st year.

Follow the below tips to prepare will for your second year examination so that you can clear it and move onwards to your 3rd year

----------) analyse previous year questions, there are topics which are frequently asked in your examination, you can also take the help of your teachers to identify those topics

----------) complete your whole syllabus at least 15 days before your examination so that you can give the last 15 days for revision
