Hi Aspirant

A lot of students face this kind of dilemma during the counseling phase and there is no one answer to this question.

The most important things to be kept in mind are as follows:

a) Are you passionate about being a doctor? If the answer is yes and you can manage to maintain your level of dedication and focus for the one drop year then you should go for the drop.

b)If you are interested in research work going for IISER will be the best option for you.

If you go for IISER you will have a number of options available to you. You join organisations like ISRO , DRDO or even join R&D companies vin private sector.

Hope this helps and All the Best.
