To begin, you must complete a master's degree in a comparable field before pursuing a PhD. For admission to a PhD programme at a government university, you must pass the NET written exam. To do so, you must first study the subject for which you wish to take the examination. If you are capable of doing so, you may apply for the position. But first, familiarise yourself with the other eligibility criteria.

Hi,

Well first you will have to do masters in related subject and then go for PhD. The written exam that is NET need to be qualified for getting a PhD admission in government universities. For that you need to study the subject that you want to take the test for. If you can give that then you can apply for the same. But once make yourself aware of other eligibility criteria.

I hope this helps.

All the best.
