I have taken hindi as a subject in class 12 so do i have to face a deduction of 2.5percent if i want to pursue bsc hons CS from DU.

The most sought after courses at DU include Economics, Political Science, History, BCom etc. In order to secure admission in majority of the courses offered by Delhi University candidates need to meet the DU Cutoffs . For some courses admission is also offered through Delhi University Entrance Exam .

Further, candidates who are seeking DU admission in Bachelor of Arts (BA) courses offered by DU colleges are informed that they would have to face marks deduction if they opt to pursue a BA course at the graduation level but they have studied Science or Commerce courses at their Class 12 level. Till last year, many colleges like Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma , Daulat Ram , Hindu College , Indraprastha College for Women , Janki Devi Memorial , Maitreyi College etc deducted 3% on account of stream change. Bhagini Nivedita , Dyal Singh College , Swami Shraddhanand College , Motilal Nehru College etc deducted 5%; College of Vocational Studies , Miranda House deducted 1% while many others deducted 2%, 2.5% on account of stream change. This year, only a few DU colleges allow for such deductions.
