hello aspirant,
If you belong to OBC and you dont have a certificate you can apply for one.anyway during application of jeemain they dont ask the hard copy..you need the certicate during the admission and counselling.you will need during filling of jeeadvance registration.so for now you need to apply or OBC certifate whichtakes a week or 10-20 days hardly to get a certifcate.so apply it as soon as possible so that you will not have any problem or tension.otherwise apply through general category.but if you have the advantage of category better to use it.

There are two options:
1) You can apply under OBC Category by filling the undertaking form given on last page of this pdf ( https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/File/GetFile?FileId=5&LangId=P )
But make sure that you need to need to submit the certificate before May 2021. You can apply for OBC Certificate which is central approved and not a state category certificate.
2) You can complete your registration under General Category.
