You have qualify the jee mains paper then apply for counseling and select the college. First select the college list according to ur branch which ever you like. Then select the college based on your rank. And wait till 5-6 round. And if you are not getting any NIT then go for any government college.
Best of luck

Hi Priyanka.

As you have qualified Jee Mains,If Engineering is what you want to do, then You can pursue engineering in any of the branch from NIT's if you are qualified. If you have written Jee advance and qualified, then you can get into IIT's.There are also local engineering colleges based on other examinations and Deemed universities, etc.Other than engineering, there are many other braches of education.Firstly identify your interest and go according to it.

All the best Priyanka:)
