Hi.

YES you can pursue M.Sc Astrophysics after B.Sc in IT.

To become eligible for this course, here are criteria that the candidates must meet:

  • Pass higher secondary or an equivalent course from a recognized examination board in the science stream.
  • Have an aggregate of 50% in a bachelor’s degree of science.

Good Luck

Hi aspirant!

Msc in astrophysics requires you to have a good knowledge of maths and physics. So if you have studied the subjects of maths and physics in graduation then you will be able to do MSC in astrophysics.

Though it is not necessary to undergo any formal training in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the undergraduate level, you should have an idea about various subjects including Foundations of Classical & Quantum Physics, Mathematical Techniques, Numerical Analysis & Computing, besides introductory courses in Astronomy & Astrophysics.

Hope this helps!

Thank you!
