Hi Aspirant,

Chemical Engineering and Civil engineering are both very different branches of Civil Engineering. Civil Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering and a core branch, whereas Chemical Engineering is a relatively new branch.

Civil engineering is offered in almost every engineering college in India, whereas Chemical Engineering is relatively provided in a lesser number of colleges. In Civil Engineering, the Scope for the job is broadly in the Government sector and a good number of opportunities in the Private sector, but for chemical engineering, the Scope is minimal in both industries.

Overall, I will advise you to pursue the course as per your interest, irrespective of Pros and Cons. If you have a confusing opinion for both branches and don't possess any particular interest, then Civil Engineering will be a better choice.

Hope, the information answers your query.
