If I got a college in 1st round in Josaa counselling but I can get better colleges in the upcoming rounds, Should I accept the seat at 1st round and pay the fee or Can I do it in upcoming rounds ?

Dear Aspirant,

If you want to go for next round but still keep the seat allocated in first round you need to use the options Float or Slide.

  1. Float: It means that you have accepted the seat allocated in the first round but you wish to participate in next round. In the next round if you are allocated seat at a college you have given higher priority, the seat allocated in the first round will be lost.
  2. Slide: Slide means that you have accepted the seat allocated in first round and you want to participate in the next round but the catch is that you want another branch in the same college you have been allocated seat in the first round. If you do get a seat in different branch your seat from the first round will be lost.
