Computer engineering mainly focus on software and hardware components of computer. 

In computer engineering course in nitk , you will learn some electrical courses as electices and hardware touch , along with progrMmipro.

It's not different from CSE. Only you will learn some more things apart from programming which must be seen as a advantage.

Also for knowledge, the department is called CSE department but the degree given is of computer engineering
