It completely depends on you and your interested. There are more opportunities now days for CSE engineers as compared to the Chemical engineers. However, both have respective importance. Topics in Chemical are quite fundamental, with less practical however, the complete CSE course can be practised on a medium range laptop and does not require any particular resource except an internet connection. From what I understood, you mean to ask if chemical engineering is tougher than CSE. According to my experience, if you can take interest, study and understand it properly, nothing can be tough. For those who feel coding is difficult, they would say chemical engineering is easier, and vice versa. If you're good at understanding chemistry then chemical engineering is not tough at all.
