Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing great there . You need not be confused regarding this. There is no such issue in taking a drop of an year at the age of 18 when the question is about your career and especially when the decision can change your complete life. What you need to think is are you ready and determined enough to work hard for the next one year . This is the most important thing . If you are determined enough to achieve your dream college , then believe me nothing can distract you and stop you from reaching your dream college.
I hope you got your answer
Wish you all the very best!

Hi Abhishek,
Most of the students give their 12th exam at the age of 17 / 18. Therefore, if you're 18 years old and are supposed to give your Mains, it is perfectly okay. Now, as per your confusion if you should drop a year or not, it is highly advisable that you do take a drop year only if you feel you're determined enough to study punctually throughout the year and significantly improve your score.
What happens is, sometimes lots of us decide to take this bold step of taking a drop year so as to better their ranks but end up improving it only by a bare margin. Again there are people who do show significant improvement in their scores.
Therefore, all depends on you. If you think, you will be able to show your determination throughout, then do take this gap year, otherwise don't and don't let this age factor come in between you making your decision.
Hope this was helpful.
