Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) of DRDO releases the posts of Scientist B for recruitment of candidates across different disciplines.

So yes you can join DRDO being from an aeronautical engineering background.

Disciplines that are eligible to apply:

• Aeronautical Engg
• Aerospace Engg
• Aerospace Engg (Avionics)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates who have passed a bachelor's degree in aeronautical or any of the above disciplines with first class.
• Candidates with a valid GATE score in Aerospace Engineering. ( paper code AE)
• Candidates in the final year are also welcome to apply.

Admission Procedure: No entrance exam, however, a personal interview will be conducted for the candidates for recruitment.

Payscale; According to level 10 of the 7th pay commission, the salary of scientist B amounts to 56000/-. Total salary after Including HRA and other allowances will add up to 80000/- per month. However, it is subjected to change as per a particular metro city.
