The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore is an autonomous institute affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University. Founded in the year 1946 by S. Ramaswamy, DV Narsimha Rao and T Ramarao, NIE was the second engineering college in Karnataka and the first one in Mysore. The National Institute Ranking Framework has placed NIE at 178th rank amongst all the Engineering Colleges in the country in 2019. It has also secured 28th rank as per Outlook India’s Top 150 Engineering colleges, 2019.

Computer Science & Engineering (CS&E) has witnessed the highest number of students being placed, followed by Information Science & Engineering (IS&E). Some of the top companies that participated in NIE Mysore placements includes:-
