is this college good or great for attaining knowledge of mechanical engineering .i don't consider placement I want the best knowledge or specialize

If not going for placement perspective, this is a very good college for knowledge one of my friend is doing mechanical engineering and is really happy about how the teachers teach and the curriculam.
