Here is step by step procedure to get into the IITs:-

1. Secure at least 75% in 12th or be in top 20% percentile(This criteria is removed for this year but may be come next year)
2. Qualify Jee Main
3. Apply for Jee advance
4. Qualify Jee advance exam under a good rank
5. Apply For JOSAA counceliing (Most important)
6.Wait till you get a seat in any round of counceliing

Hey there, For taking admission in IIT, First You will have to clear JEE MAINS Cutoff that is being provided and You have to clear that first. That cutoff isn't very hard to crack but Getting into GOOD NIT You need a very good score in JEE MAINS that is above 99 Percentile and also If You will crack that cutoff then You are eligible for JEE ADVANCE and Then You can give the JEE ADVANCE and for getting into CS Branch into IIT You need to score under 1000-1500 Rank in JEE ADVANCE.
