For NEET UG, the minimum age requirement is 17 years by December 31st of the year of admission . So, if you're planning to take NEET UG in 2026, you need to be at least 17 by December 31, 2026. Since you’ll be 16 in 2026, unfortunately, you won’t meet the age requirement to appear for the exam that year.

You can consider taking NEET UG in 2027 once you meet the age criteria. In the meantime, focus on building a strong foundation and preparing thoroughly. This extra time could even work in your favor, giving you an edge in your preparation.
