Your caste plays the major role in this .

If you belong to OC , you are not going to get seat in top 10 colleges  not even top 20 colleges . There is B category in these top colleges where they take students based on jee marks . But make sure you apply it early.

If you belong to BC, you can get in top 15 colleges.

If you belong to SC/ST you can get in top 5 colleges .
