so i am in class 10 isce boards but there is a problem that my father's title and birth month is wrong in my school I'd card but it is correct in registration form so will it effect my boards exam and entry in the boards centre .what should i do ?
Hello Rohan,
Don’t worry. If your father’s title and birth month are correct in the registration form, then there will be no problem in your board exams or entry to the exam centre.
The school ID card is only for school use, it is not checked in the exam centre. What matters is the details in your ICSE registration and admit card.
Still, you can inform your school to correct the ID card for future records.
Hope it helps !
Hello Aspirant,
Having a wrong father's name or birth month on your school ID card, even if correct on the registration form, could potentially cause issues for your ICSE board exams and entry into the exam center. The admit card for your board exams will be based on the information registered with the board, and any discrepancies might raise flags.
What you should do:
-
Immediately inform your school principal/office: This is the most crucial step. Explain the situation clearly.
-
Provide supporting documents: Show them your birth certificate, Aadhar card, or any other official document where your father's name and your birth month are correct.
-
Request a correction: The school needs to initiate the correction process with CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) through their online portal. They can apply for corrections in details like father's name and DOB.
-
Follow up: Ensure the school is actively working on the correction and confirm when the changes are reflected in their records and, more importantly, when the corrected admit card for your board exams will be generated.
It's vital to get this sorted before your board exams as your admit card will be checked thoroughly.
If your father’s name/title or birth month is wrong in your ICSE Class 10 records, you must apply for correction through your school principal. The school will forward the request to CISCE via the CAREERS Portal along with documents like your admission form, birth certificate, affidavit, marksheet, and a newspaper notice. A correction fee also has to be paid. In case the school cannot apply, a court order may be required. Corrections are possible, but they must follow the official CISCE procedure with proper proof.
