Hello Dear Candidate,
You will have to immediately contact the authorities that issued your OBC-NCL certificate and request a correction. The process can can take up to 7 to 30 days.
Since, you cannot correct your personal details through online application correction window of CAT, you will have to inform the CAT Examination authority directly about the situation.
In case if the error is not corrected on time, you will not be eligible for reservation benefits, and will be considered under general category.
Thank You.
Hello,
Your CAT application is not likely to be rejected just because of the wrong gender mentioned in your OBC-NCL certificate.
If all other details such as your name, category, caste, and address are correct, you will still be considered under the OBC-NCL category.
However, you should get the certificate corrected from the issuing authority as soon as possible and carry both the old and corrected certificates during the verification or interview process.
Also, keep a short written explanation or proof ready in case they ask about the mistake.
Hope it helps !
