Hello

Yes, bsc 1st year or any other student can give jee main and advanced depending upon 12th passing year.

For example,

Let's say that you pass 12th in 2021 and then get admission in bsc , you can still appear in jee main 2022 and 2023  . For JEE advanced you will be eligible only for JEE advanced 2022

This is because,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

Now,

Assuming your year of appearing for 12th board examination is 2021

So, with 2021 as 12th board exam appearing year you

  • Were eligible for jee main 2021

  • Are  eligible for jee main 2022 and

  • Will be eligible for jee main 2023

  • you were eligible for JEE advanced 2021

  • also eligible for JEE advanced 2022

Hi,

Yes, Bsc First year can give JEE Mains & JEE Advanced but only if they meet the eligibility criteria. The student should not have exceeded the number of attempts given by these Exams. Suppose if you are in BSC first year in 2021 so you must have passed in 2020 then only you can give JEE advanced in 2021 as it allow student to give  exam only in the year in which they first attempted the 12th and the following year.

Thanks!!!

Hello Aspirant,

See to appear in JEE-Advance you must have passed your class 12th in the current year or last year suppose if you are currently doing B.Sc and also passed class 12th this year then you can appear for JEE-Advance 2022 or if you had passed class 12th last year then you are only eligible for JEE-Advance 2021, provided that you must qualify 2021 or 2022 and for JEE-Main there are some criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main so let us discuss them because to sit in JEE-Advance, qualifying JEE-Main is mandatory :-

1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.

2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects from any of the recognized central or state board.

3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2021 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 or 2021; or those who are appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2021, are eligible to appear.

So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
