After electrical engineering graduation what to do is totally depend on your area of interest. There are options like if you want to go for higher education or core related job or government sector job. If you want to go for higher studies then you have to score good in GATE so that you will get admission in IIT or NIT .

If want to do job then you have to search for core related companies. One option is government services for that you have give entrance exams for government sector. This is also a good option.

You have a lot of scope and prospects after doing graduation in electrical engineering.

Firstly, graduation reminds one of placements. So starting with Core Sectors, you can get yourself placed with any Power Systems Plant ,Aerospace , Manufacturing or Electrical Industry as an Electrical Engineer, like Schneider Electric, GE Power, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Mahindra and so on. If you have interest in Microelectronics and Circuits, Analog Design, you can get placed with Intel, Analog Devices, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, etc.

In case you have interest in IT/Software/Finance/ML/AI/Non Core sectors, you can always diverge for a off track career with one of the Top MnCs like Google,Goldman Sachs, Amex, Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys or IBM in Technical Roles.

Now coming to Public Sector Units (PSUs). There is a lot of scope for electrical engineers in Public Sector. For this you must apply and sit for the GATE and IES Exams for prestigious jobs in Government Units like BHEL, NTPC, SAIL, etc.

In case you want to have a career in research you can pursue a Masters or Doctoral Degree from some Top Institute Abroad or perhaps any higher Technical Institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore. Perhaps if you have interest in Management or UPSC you can always prepare for the Respective Examinations post Graduation.

The options depends on you you can go for mtech, MBA , MS or any other master field if you want . Or you can try your luck in civil services now it depends everything you choose depends on you . Every field after graduation is good as it's master then it has lot of scope at higher level . Just choose the field which you like . Telling any specific will be hard if you want you can change your department in mtech / M.E. .
