See both of the colleges are very good. So comparing this two colleges on the traditional parameters isn't significant. The right strategy is that you should take the college which offers the course of your interest. If you are interested in IT then go for DTU and if you are interested about ECE you should go for NIT Rourkela.

Now if you want to choose about the course which will give you a better prospect or a salary then I would say you can go for IT. See the average package you will get at Rourkeela ECE will be similar to that of DTU IT placements. But as you know if you do IT then you will better options to go for big corporates. So if you want to see yourself as software developer or in any IT then I would recommend you to go for IT as it will give you a better prospect compared to ECE.
