Hello!

The admission in government colleges like the NITs and IITs is largely based on the rank (percentile), than on the marks.

This is because the rank can be good or bad on some particular marks depending on the paper and the no. of students participating.

However, considering previous year's statistics, a mark range of 150 can fetch you atleast 95 percentile, with which you can apply to government colleges with this rank.
