Hello Mate....
If your examination board for 12th is tripura, jharkhand, Gujarat, Mizoram , Uttarakhand and meghalaya states because according to previous year's cutoff for these states the cutoff is around 61 through the SCB channel 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates qualifying the IISER aptitude test.
Hello Nishank!
Yes, basically a post allotment round for the IISERs takes place after the registration of the other candidates admitted through the previous allocation rounds is completed in their respective IISERs. It is pretty similar to mop up round as it is done to fill the left out seats only.
There is no particular procedure for this allotment round. The list of wait listed candidates are released in the official website. Thus, you have to set your hawk eyes on the website regularly or else you may miss necessary updates. You will be given a short period of time to pay the SAF fees and to exercise the float option. The call letter is received via registered email. The procedure is exactly similar to that of previous rounds of allotment.
However, the post allotment session did not happen the previous year(i.e 2019). But such mop up round did happen in 2018 and 2017 for the SCB stream. This year it may or may not happen keeping in mind the rank inflation in NEET and JEE.

Hello Candidate,
JoSAA counselling process is a long process which involves numerous rounds along with Mock Rounds and Spot rounds, so in such a lengthy process the candidate might get confused.
So, Career 360 provides similar counselling in vivid format so that the student can get to know his most likely seats based on Previous years'Cut-offs. It can also help you to fill the preference options asked in JoSAA counselling more wisely and accurately and the same goes true for IISER counselling process.
Hope that this Answer helps you!! Comment back if you need more help.
Hello student!
As per the COVID-19 pandemic, the IISERs have relaxed the state and central board cutoffs to be eligible to apply for the IAT 2020.
The cut-off marks in 10+2 as eligibility for IISER Admissions 2020 is modified as follows: either 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for General/ OBC and OBC-NCL categories and 55% for SC/ST/PWD in any boards or the cut-off marks already announced for each of the boards in the admission website, whichever is lower.
So, as you have scored 55% in your boards being a PWD candidate, you are eligible to sit for the IAT test.
You have to score above 90 in the IAT test to get your first three preffered IISERs easily in the forst or second rounds of allotment. Anywhere above 75+ will get you a seat in your 4th or 5th preferred IISER.

Hi, there are certain channels only via which you will be able to get in IISER. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for admissions. Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through following three channels.
1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel-Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2020-21 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.
2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology-Candidates securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2020 are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PD, EWS), their rank should be within 10000. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.
3. State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)- Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2020. However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board. Remember, students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.
You can enter via these channels. Hope this helps you!
Hello,
If you are applying through SCB channel then each year the cut off is specified depending on the number of candidates applied, top score, number of seats available etc.So the cut off published for IISER 2021 admission will be considered regardless of the year(2020 or 2021) you passed in the qualifying exam.
Dear Student,
You can go to IISER through three channels. The three channels or modes are
1)KVPY
2)JEE Advanced
3)SCB
Each channel has different eligibility. For the year 2021 the eligibility notification is not yet announced but it will be same. You can read here the IISER 2020 eligibility details
https://engineering.careers360.com/exams/iiser-aptitude-test
For KVPY you can read here the eligibility
http://kvpy.iisc.ernet.in/main/eligibility.htm
Hi Aspirant,
According to official notice by IISER it mentions that the eligibilty criteria for admission are candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations with science are eligible. It also mentions that additional cut off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 examinations is also applicable. It considers admission through KVPY Channel and equal weightage is given to KVPY SA and KVPY SB as per KVPY SX.So apart from KVPY you need to clear the cut off for board exams. So both are necessary for admissions in IISER.
Prepare hard for KVPY.
