Hey Parvathy !
Sorry to inform but as far as the cutoff ranks of JIPMER are concerned, even if you have the advantage of OBC Certificate, a rank of 8655 won't be enough to bag you a seat in the elite institute.
As far as the statistics of JIPMER 2018 are concerned, the cutoff rank for OBC Students was around 56 i.e., it was even less than that of the UR Students.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Best Wishes !

Dear Haripriya

According to the OBC shortlisted list for 2019-20, total number of students are 370 and the last student secured 98.8726610 percentile and the total number of seats for OBC is 37 which means only 37 students among 370 students will get admission and as per the recent notice, the OBC student with 1-370 are shorlisted for 1st counselling and all the information conclude, i am sorry to say that you don't have any chances to get admission in either colleges of JIPMER.

Hello

Kindly mention your rank in the JIPMER exam then I can tell you better about your chances of admission based on your rank.

Good Luck!

Hey Nadiya !
It's actually a 50-50 situation to predict your chances of making it to JIPMER.
As far as statistics of 2018 is concerned :
The Closing Rank for OBC Category was 240 in Karaikal Campus.
Whereas the cutoff rank for the same in 2017 stood at 134.
You rank lies Midway between the two which makes it tough to predict it either way.
Yet, we do think you stand a great chance of making it into the Premier Institute.

Go through the link mentioned below to have a better idea about the cutoff :

Hope this helps.

All the Best !

Hello,

There are very less chances to get admission. You have been called for counselling.

gold luck

Hey Ashutosh !
Do accept my heartiest congratulations upon securing such a marvelous rank of 207 in the prestigious examination of JIPMER 2019.
Well, in order to answer your query, we would have to look into the statistics of the previous years' :
As of 2018 :
The Cutoff Rank for JIPMER for the OBC Category students was 51 for Puducherry Campus and 240 for Karaikak Campus.

For the year 2017 :
The same for Puducherry corresponded to 134 and that of Karaikal stood at 133.

So, you see, the trends keep on varying year to year. As per 2018, you have a great chance of making it through. On the other hand, following 2017, you might just miss out.

So, it's actually a 50-50 situation in here which can't be predicted yet. But you do stand a great chance of procuring a seat in the Karaikal Campus.

You can go through the link mentioned below to have a better idea :

Hope this helps.

Best Wishes !

Hello Siddhanth

The ones with higher marks (usually above 780/800) get JIPMER PONDICHERRY, while the range comes down to 750–760 in JIPMER KARAIKAL. I'm talking about UR category.

It is mainly due to the fact that many students don't risk coming to Karaikal as it's a new and developing campus. So once the seats are full for JIPMER PONDICHERRY, many students opt out.

So, i think you can get Karaikal.

greetings,

you will have to talk to both the parties, let jimper officials know about the situation and maybe let them talk to kgmu officilas,a situtation .like this should not be supported.

you will have to let your college know that maybe they can consider you a special case and give you transfer certificate

Hi kathiressun;

As the jipmer held at 2 June you would be able to know your marks in the form of percentile before or on 21 June.

You belong to obc category and jipmer  has set 40 percentile as the qualifying marks for obc students.

Last year the opening cutoff in percentile form of obc category was 98.8754756 for admission in jipmer colleges.  And percentile method of calculating ranks depend on the highest marks secure by the topper.

Hope for the best percentile to get admission in jipmer colleges.  For more queries feel free to ask us.

Thanku

Dear Pranav, you havent mentioned your Category. Neverthless, you have a score of 49%. For NEET, you should score a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for SC,ST,OBC. For JIPMER, it is 50% for General Category and EWS and 40% for SC,ST,OBC and  for PWD it is 45%.  So you only are eligible for both NEET and JIPMER if you belong to Reserved Categories.
