Have a question related to NIMHANS Bangalore ?

I got admission for MPH in NIMHANS.Should I try for aiims or JIPMER? Which one is better option for MPH?

    hi,

Congrats on getting MPH admission at NIMHANS! It’s actually a really good institute, especially if you’re interested in mental health, neurology, or public health connected to these areas. If you want to focus on mental health and related public health work, NIMHANS is honestly one of the best places in India.

But if you’re aiming for a wider exposure in public health—like working in big hospitals, international health projects, community medicine, or policy making—then AIIMS or JIPMER might give you more variety and bigger opportunities. AIIMS usually has the best overall exposure, more research options, and a stronger public health network across India and even abroad.

Can I get some insight on hostel facility for girls in NIMHANS, bangalore.Im to join and july and my senior told that there are no single rooms?

    hi,

Yes, your senior is mostly correct. At NIMHANS, girls' hostels usually have shared rooms, especially for first-year students. Single rooms are generally not given to new MPH students—they are mostly reserved for senior research scholars or PhD students. You will most likely have a double sharing room with a common bathroom. The hostel facilities are quite decent, the environment is safe, and you’ll have Wi-Fi, a study area, and a good mess.

What is kcet 2025 cutoff for ST catagory in NIMHANS

    HEY THERE!!!

    1. As of now, the official KCET 2025 cutoff for the ST category at NIMHANS has not been released.
    2. Typically, though, ST candidates are expected to secure at least 40% marks in the KCET to be eligible for counselling.
    3. This benchmark may change once the official cutoff is announced, so it is advisable to stay updated with the latest notifications from the authorities.
