For MPH there only 18 seats, I was fortunate enough to get admission, air conditioned classrooms, Hostel is above average, mess could be better. hostel room has all the required things, cupboard, bedding etc. has a playground and library.
As we all know that this college is best for medical line studies any one who is interested should take admission in it and if I talk about the college infrastructure so it is best and have all facilities here
hi,
Congrats on getting MPH admission at NIMHANS! It’s actually a really good institute, especially if you’re interested in mental health, neurology, or public health connected to these areas. If you want to focus on mental health and related public health work, NIMHANS is honestly one of the best places in India.
But if you’re aiming for a wider exposure in public health—like working in big hospitals, international health projects, community medicine, or policy making—then AIIMS or JIPMER might give you more variety and bigger opportunities. AIIMS usually has the best overall exposure, more research options, and a stronger public health network across India and even abroad.
Hi Varsha,
The EWS category cutoff for JIPMER's MD Dermatology program (Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy) is 18907, compared to 23295 in 2024. This means the cutoff rank for EWS candidates decreased in 2025. The cutoff score for EWS in 2024 was 621 according to the sources.
These cutoff scores are based on the INI-CET (Institute of National Importance - Common Entrance Test) exam results, which is used for admissions to various postgraduate medical courses at JIPMER. The actual cutoff may vary depending on factors like the number of seats available, the overall performance of candidates, and other institutional policies.
I hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant,
Given your INICET 2025 score of 573 in OBC category, you definitely have a chance for Pediatrics at JIPMER. I cannot guarantee you the seat as admission not only depends on score but also on the total number of candidates, cut-off marks specified for different categories and availability of seats in that year. Based on my personal experience of preparing for INICET for the past two years, generally, more than 570 score in OBC category is competitive, but you realize or know this may vary technically for final allotment.
