The infrastructure was very good even during the 80s. The library is very well equipped and structured with vast selection of books available. All kinds of sports facilities was available in the campus. M. Com Campus was in a seperate section.
I did my M.com from this university. The faculties was very professional and helpful. The quality of teaching was excellent and the curriculum was well structured. For a Post-graduate degree, I would recommend this university.
Placements are average. The courses taught make you job-ready. Placement structure was not very popular at that time. Some courses got placements in the corporate sector. Now, the university has wide alumni network in the country.
The college have all the necessary infrastructure and facilities like classrooms, labs although the library needs to be updated. The cleaning needs to be done regularly in the classrooms. The hostel rooms are mostly shared among 6 to 7 people.
I'm pursuing B.Sc, the staff needs to be more polite and supportive with the students. The overall curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. As I'm still in first year we didn't get any opportunities that'll make us job ready
Almost 80 percent of students are placed in respected companies. The highest salary package offered was 14LPA. The average salary is 7LPA. The process was easy as the college was supportive but sometimes they can be rude
We have annual fees of 1,58,000. Apart from the staff's behavior and library, the rest of facilities are good
Sppu is known for it's huge campus. Medicals, canteens, sport campus and health center are available within the campus in the case of emergency
Nowrosjee Wadia College has one of the best libraries in Pune. Nowrosjee Wadia College is known for its sports. We were runner-ups for two consecutive years. There is no Wi-Fi provided. Hostels are good, and hostel fees are approximately 75,000 rupees. Nowrosjee Wadia College also has a canteen and a cafe.
The senior teachers were not very supportive, but the junior teachers were very supportive. Their teaching quality was good, but there were many off-classes because teachers were absent. I don't recommend anybody to be dependent on the college to be industry-ready. Exams are easy to pass.
There were no placements for our batch. The number of companies visited was zero. And even if companies had visited our college, they would go to Engineering College. Teachers had shown no interest in our placements. So please think before taking admission
Placement should be improved
The campus infrastructure is impressive, with state-of-the-art facilities and well-maintained buildings. The labs are well-equipped, supporting hands-on learning. The library is a knowledge hub, offering both digital and physical resources. The sports facilities are excellent, promoting a balanced lifestyle. A few more common areas for group discussions would be a nice addition.
Academics at this college are well-structured, with a good balance of theory and practical application. Professors are not only experts in their fields but also dedicated mentors who guide students through every step. The coursework can be intense, but it’s designed to push you to your best. The emphasis on research is a major plus for those looking to pursue higher studies.
I was quite satisfied with the placements at my college. The placement team was dedicated and worked hard to bring in diverse companies. The majority of students secured offers before graduation, and the average salary package was competitive. A few students did struggle to find roles aligned with their specialization, though.
The fees are competitive, and the overall education experience is robust. While the campus facilities could use an upgrade, the quality of teaching and the support from the placement cell make it a worthwhile investment for most students.
Something is not unique in the college, there is no support for sports for students, there are no sports equipments either. Class is also not digitalised. Classes are not cleaned on time. There are old PCs in the laboratory
Teachers in all departments are freshers, teachers with very less experience come to teach, teaching is very poor. There is less supportive staff. Subject teachers are not paid on time . The student gets less practical knowledge
Students do not get placed because they do not get the opportunity to develop their skills . All the time is spent in college without which no work can be done, technical students are given non-technical jobs.
Every year my course has to pay 36000 in which I don't get any benefit, the student has to pay the rest of these fees in curriculars. There are no extra courses for students like credit courses
The college and school have a common campus, no student sitting area, no canteen, no sports ground.
But because some teaching staff are supportive, the college is nice, not so bad, the rest of the activities are done , the future of some is good.
The infrastructure is great and classrooms are spacious, and the library is well-stocked with useful resources. The facilities are modern and make it easy for students to focus on their studies in a comfortable setting..
I completed my B.Com at Savitri Bai College and found the academic experience to be good enough. The teachers are knowledgeable and supportive, helping students understand the material well. The course structure is solid and prepares you well for future opportunities.
While the college is mainly known for its strong academics, the placement opportunities are getting better. The college is working on connecting with more companies, which is helping students find good jobs after they graduate.
Studying at Savitri Bai College is a good investment. The fees are affordable, and the education provided is of high quality. When you consider everything you get from the program, it’s definitely worth the cost.
There are many clubs and events that allow students to explore different interests and socialize. It’s easy to get involved and make friends, making the overall experience enjoyable and the staff is also very friendly.
collage is part of Savitribai phule pune university . collage campus is very beautiful and green . classrooms are neat and modern . collage provides all basic amenities like clean drinking water , toilets etc . cleanliness in maintained in collage .
i completed my masters degree in business administration from sppu. its one of the top management collage in maharashtra . teachers are all highly experienced qualified . the exam difficulty level is moderate .
its one of the best collages in india considering the ROI . nearly all students from our batch got placed in good companies . average package is around 12 LPA . reputed companies visits collage for campus placements.
only 1 lakh fees . hostel is also cheap
campus life is really awesome .
one of the best MBA collage
The new classrooms and new hostels are designed very well. Library is very well designed and is very attractive. The infrastructure is awesome. However it needs some changes somewhere. But overall it's all good.
All courses were up to date and progressed with newer research. Teaching techniques vary with teachers. Reading of research papers are also encouraged. Knowledge and research topics were very impressive.
Placement cell has no programs for the science students, rarely if they do have any the placements are all bad. no skill enhancement programs or career guidance sessions. Sciences do not get any field-ready exposure to the job expectations.
Yes if your main purpose to take an degree.
Life at campus was very much beautiful.
Nothing
The department and the university both have good infrastructure and facilities that are required in a educational institution. All the classrooms are well build and maintained with projector facilities also the laboratories are well equipped.
Here i am pursuing MSc in Environmental Science and the quality of teaching is average to good it does differ teacher to teacher some teaches good some teaches average but all the staff is very much supportive
There are very less to none placements from the department & the exact reason behind is not known in rare cases one to two students get placed so the percentage of placed students is also negligible one have apply off campus
There are lot of facilities that college provides. It includes Jaykar library which has the largest collection of books in Pune. College has a cricket ground, gym, tennis court, badminton court and tennis court.
College has a well qualified faculties. There are also external faculties that provides specialized and industrial knowledge. College support the students to participate in national level competition.
Placement is good. The average package is 9 LPA. College provides 100% placement. College also provides internship opportunities to all students. Many MNC companies visit the college each year in placement season.
Yes, it is the best college from the ROI point of view.
Campus life is very nice here.
Hello,
For entrance exams of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the medium of question papers is generally English .
The option to write in Marathi is not available for most entrance tests like the Online Entrance Examination (OEE).
However, in the SET exam (State Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor), the paper is available in both English and Marathi (except language subjects).
So, if you are asking about regular SPPU entrance exams for admission, you have to write in English . Marathi option is not provided .
Hope it helps !
Hey Shreyash:)
Thanks for reaching out!
Yes,you can cancel your current admission after 1st year and reapper for MHT-CET and perform well, meet the income criteria,go through the CAP rounds,if your rank and seat availability match, you can secure a TFWS seat again in a better college.
Key factors to keep in mind:
You have to repeat 1st year, some colleges may charge a penalty or ask for remaining fee for cancellation depending on their policy. Also TFWS seats are limited,so your selection will depend on your rank and seat availability.
Make sure to plan carefully as these steps involve risks especially,if you don't secure a better seat next time.
Hope this clears your query!
With 58.89 percentile in MHT CET and 42 percentile in JEE Mains, it will be very difficult to get admission into top engineering colleges in Pune or Mumbai for Computer Science, AI, or IT branches, even if you are from OBC-NCL and under Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Most good colleges like PCCOE, MMCOE, and Sinhgad College close admission for CSE and IT around 85 to 95 percentile. Your percentile is too low for these competitive branches in top colleges.
However, you might still get admission in other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical in some engineering colleges in Pune or Mumbai where the cutoff is a bit lower. Some lesser-known or Tier-2 colleges may also give admission in IT or CSE with your percentile.
With 42 percentile in JEE Mains, your rank is around 2.5 to 4.5 lakh, so getting NITs or IIITs is not possible. But private colleges in Maharashtra may consider your JEE score under their quota.
Since you belong to the OBC-NCL category and are from Pune University region, you may get some advantage during state counseling.
