SRM is a good option for pursuing psychology. Bsc psychology is a three year undergraduate degree program which will help people to develop the skills required. This degree can also be extended into a four year diploma or certificate course if students want to pursue their higher studies abroad.

The course will also include a minor specialization in Applied Psychology/ Clinical Psychology.

The infrastructure is also good and equipped with modern facilities. The faculty is well experienced and friendly. Most of the faculties are doctorates.

The placement is good. Almost 99% of the students are placed in different IT companies such as Amazon, Sabre, Walmart, etc.

see cutoff score varies every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicant,  questions difficulty level, seat matrix etc.

however it is expected that the overall closing rank for computer science departments including all specialized course would go around 10000. however in KTR campus total intake for cse is 1140, so it now depends on the leftover seats after 2nd phase counselling. however it seems tough chances for cse. but you have decent scope for other specialization like software engineering, block chain technology, cyber security etc.

SRM University have six campuses located in kattankulathur, Ramapuram , Vadapalani, Amravati, Delhi -Ncr, and Sonipat Haryana. The tuition fees are different from all the campuses. SRM University is known for their main campus kattankulathur. The tuition fees for main campus is 2.5 lakh per year for all the branches. Specially for CSE it's 3.5 lakh in category B.

The total tution fees of SRM University is 10 lakh in category A and 14 lakh in category B. The hostel fees is 1.50 lakh per annum Total 6 lakhs is the hostel fees for 4 years. There are some more charges like semester examination fee, event fee, fest fee etc . So totally 18 lakh to 21 lakh have to spend for B.tech from SRM University kattankulathur.

As you have mentioned that you have secured 2.2k rank in srmjee phase 3 and taking into consideration that many of the seats in cse would have filled particularly in artificial intelligence but you may have chances for cyber security.

But you can hope for mainly electronics and communication branch. Let me tell you that due to the covid scenario the exact situation is very different from previous years and so anything can happen depending on the number of vacant seats in college, Previous years cut offs.

According to previous years the closing rank of general category for Trichy SRM College has been as follows,

2539 in 2020

2537 in 2019

This cut off ranking varies from year to year depending on highest marks obtained, number of students, level of difficulty. Whenever you have to choose between courses then you should focus on the key factors of your interest. Now if you are interested in ECE then go for it or if you are interested in CSE then go for it. Now if you are confused and you want to study something which have better placements and more job opportunities then I would recommend you to go for CSE. CSE have better packages as well as lot of companies visit for the graduates. And the point is that most core field graduates also go for IT companies. So if you have to work in IT's at the later end then why shouldn't you learn it from the beginning. Now its your choice but as per me, I would recommend you to go for SRM AP cse.
