The infrastructure of well-known Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is amazing. we have all the necessary departments available with good infrastructure and we have also a very huge library in the campus.
The infrastructure is excellent. Particularly libraries and Hostel Facilities. But tbh, you cannot expect a state of the art facilities such as in IIM's from TISS, since it is a campus with focus on Social Sciences.
Wi-Fi and classrooms are good. They don't provide hostel facilities. We are living outside for rent, but the rented room is good. We don't have labs, so we bring our own laptops. There is a medical facility available; we have a health center. For sports, we play on the ground. Students usually go there and play.
When preparing for the CUET PG exam for admission into a Master of Social Work (MSW) program, particularly at institutions like the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), it's essential to understand the syllabus's scope.
The syllabus emphasizes a strong foundation in core social science disciplines. Expect questions on fundamental concepts from sociology, psychology, political science, and economics. This includes understanding social structures, institutions, human behavior, political systems, and economic principles. Specifically, you should be familiar with topics like family, community, culture, social change, political ideologies, and economic systems.
A significant portion of the syllabus focuses on the principles and practices of social work. This includes understanding the history, philosophy, and ethics of social work, as well as various social work methods and techniques. You'll need to know about community development, social welfare policies, and the role of social work in addressing social issues.
Current social issues and related policies are crucial. This includes knowledge of Indian social legislation, government programs, and the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. Awareness of current affairs related to social justice, human rights, and development is essential.
In addition to subject-specific knowledge, the exam also assesses general knowledge and current affairs. This includes awareness of national and international events, social trends, and environmental issues.
I hope this helps.

TISS offers a Master's in Applied Psychology (Clinical and Counselling Practice). While this program equips you with valuable knowledge and skills, it doesn't directly qualify you as a licensed clinical psychologist in India .
This program focuses on developing skills in assessment and intervention for mental health and emotional well-being. It equips you to work in various settings like hospitals, clinics, and NGOs.
TISS's program seems to be designed to provide a foundation in both clinical and counselling psychology. You might not choose a specific specialization (clinical or counselling) within the program itself.
A Master's degree in psychology is the first step. TISS's program is a good starting point. After your Master's, you need to pursue an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program, which are typically research-oriented and include clinical training. These programs are offered by a limited number of universities in India. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) regulates the practice of psychology in India. After completing an M.Phil. or Psy.D. program, you'll need to register with the RCI to practice as a clinical psychologist. Registration involves an internship and an exam.
