Hi,

Integrated MTech is a new program at SCIS UOH, it was started from 2014. I was not present at university when the course was started, but my project in-charge was heading the curriculum committee so I looked into the curriculum. This is one of the challenging course structure. It's a good mixture of basic and advanced computer science topics. If you could not get into better nits, i would suggest taking up this integrate course it is totally worth it. If you work regularly and follow the course, you would better than most of the students in the NITs.

Exposure might be little less compared to NITS, as the almuni is not very strong. Every Friday we had research seminars from industry experts and other interesting engagements. do participate in them.

Hope this helps

Wish you luck

Hi Usha,

Integrated (BTech+MTech) is a new program at SCIS UOH, it was started from 2014. This is one of the challenging course structure. It's a good mixture of basic and advanced computer science topics. If you could not get into better nits, i would suggest taking up this integrate course it is totally worth it. If you work regularly and follow the course, you would better than most of the students in the NITs.

Placements are always individual affairs, if you do have caliber and prove yourself at the department, there are people in department who can help you in reaching your dream company. Besides every year, decent number of product companies visit campus. I would suggest do not worry about placements, concentrate on the courses and grab the internships at IITS and product companies. Your hard work will take care of the placements.

Exposure might be little less compared to NITS, as the alumini is not very strong. Every Friday it had research seminars from industry experts and other interesting engagements, do participate in them.

The placements are individual based, so how good one is determines the placements to a large extent.

The degree is better than an NIT, but not really as good as many IITs.

The campus life is really good, students are given lots of freedom. You are free to go out and come back at any time, as long as you have your ID. Libraries are open on all working days till 7pm and near the exam, this timing is increased to 10pm. The faculty is very friendly and approachable.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Dear Adbhutam,

Yes, you can be an assistant professor. You are eligible for it. But, you must need to have knowledge to teach first. Some institutes even demand experience of teaching the specific subject you are going to teach in. So, you can enquire from the respected institute/University as well. Spme Universities demand similar degree which has to be studied. It varies from University to university. Feel free to drop any query related to this or else.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck :)

Hello,

Congratulations on getting a good rank. As I see you have shortlisted pretty good options for you and they all look very promising and career oriented.

I would suggest you to take your preference in this order:

  1. NIT Kurukshetra
  2. NIT Surat
  3. NIT Andhra Pradesh
  4. IIIT Kancheepuram
  5. University of Hyderabad

I have given this order based on:

  • NIRF Rankings of colleges
  • Infrastructure
  • Location and accessibility
  • Placement Scenarios/Opportunities

But I would also like you to consider which branch you would like to pursue as a career because Mechanical and ECE/CSE are very different domains, you can always learn parts of both in college but your core branch is what will shape your career after 4 years.

Good luck, Hope it helps!!

Hi, so basically Nimcet is an exam from which you get into top Computer Science colleges such as NIT's as in National Institute Of Technology.

NIT's are top Computer Science colleges and are very respected in terms of education.

The college provides great courses and teachers latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Internet Of things, etc.

NITs, JNU BHU etc are all good colleges.

Basically NITs and JNU have different entrance exams.

So if you get top NITs such as NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, etc then I would suggest you to go for NIT else if I would suggest you to go for JNU, then BHU.

JNU is a great college, you will get a lot of exposure there.

Hope this is helpful
