It's a useful resource, but not extensive enough for advanced research. The sports facilities are decent, with both indoor and outdoor options, though they aren't heavily utilized by all students. As for the hostels, the living spaces are generally clean, though some maintenance issues pop up occasionally. The food served in the hostels is hygienic, but the variety and quality could be better. It’s adequate for daily needs, but if you're picky about food, it might not always meet expectations. In summary, while the infrastructure is functional, there’s room for improvement, especially in laboratories and the overall maintenance of campus facilities.

I pursued an M.Sc in Zoology at the University of Kashmir because of my strong interest in animal biology, conservation, and the study of ecosystems. The quality of teaching varied—some professors were highly knowledgeable and engaging, while others were not as interactive. However, overall, the faculty was supportive and willing to help students who showed interest in the subject. The curriculum provided a solid foundation in core areas like animal physiology, ecology, and genetics, but it felt somewhat outdated in terms of modern developments. Topics like conservation biology and biotechnology were covered, but the curriculum didn’t always incorporate the latest research or technological advancements in the field, such as molecular biology techniques or advancements in wildlife conservation. While the program prepared me with essential knowledge, there was limited focus on practical training, which made it challenging to be fully job-ready after completing the degree. Additional internships or hands-on research experience outside of the curriculum would have helped bridge that gap and made the learning more applicable to real-world scenarios.

During my time at the University of Kashmir, the quality of placements was not very strong, especially for the M.Sc Zoology program. While some students did manage to find opportunities, the overall placement rate was quite low, with only a few securing positions in research or educational institutions. The highest salary package offered was limited, with most students opting for further studies or internships rather than direct job placements. The average salary for those who did secure positions was not particularly high, as the job opportunities in the field of Zoology are relatively niche. The placement process was not as streamlined as I expected. It was not particularly easy or pleasant, as the support from the college was minimal, and there were very few placement drives or collaborations with companies in our field. The college did provide some assistance with internships, but for job placements, the efforts were lacking. While the faculty was supportive in terms of guidance for academic matters, the placement cell and related services could have been more proactive and effective in helping students secure jobs.

The cost of the M.Sc Zoology program at the University of Kashmir was relatively affordable compared to other institutions, with the annual fee being around ₹15,000 to ₹20,000. While this is a reasonable fee, I feel that I did not fully get my money’s worth in terms of infrastructure and support. The fees were manageable, but given the limited practical exposure, outdated infrastructure, and lack of job-oriented skills training, I believe the overall value could have been higher. The curriculum was solid, but there was not enough hands-on learning or career development support to make the experience truly enriching or job-ready. In conclusion, while the cost was not high, I feel that the quality of education and the resources provided were not proportional to the fees paid. If there were better infrastructure, more research opportunities, and stronger industry connections, I would have felt more satisfied with my investment.

The library is useful, but it could benefit from a wider range of updated materials and resources. Additionally, the internet connection in certain parts of the campus can be unreliable. Students can engage in various extracurricular activities, including cultural events, sports, and seminars. The university hosts annual festivals where students showcase their talents, and there are clubs for different interests, such as sports, debate, and literature. The students are generally friendly and supportive, but some may find the overall campus environment a bit casual. The faculty members are knowledgeable, but there is variability in teaching quality, and some professors are more approachable than others. Support staff is helpful, but there can be delays in administrative tasks. The campus is located in a relatively safe area, but like any university, students are advised to be cautious. The security is decent, and there are proper protocols in place for handling emergencies. The university has medical facilities and emergency services, but they might not be as prompt or advanced as one would expect in larger cities.

the university campus is impressive. the classrooms are equipped with technologically advanced educational tools. the university has a main library and each department has its own library cum reading room.

the academic environment is commendable .the faculty is really very good and teachers and well experienced .the teachers conducted continuous assessment and quiz to test our knowledge which at the same time is really helpful for final exams.

most of the students get placement in various departments .companies from sectors actively recruit graduates who possess the required caliber. various students of the university get placement in the university itself.

the fees of the course is really not too much and pretty affordable. Also if the student secures 1st or the 2nd position in the entrance exams, based on merit the can avail scholarships. therefore it actually in value for money.

the best thing about the campus is that it is surrounded with beautiful chinar trees . the campus is really huge. Various events like freshers is also conducted by various departments. life at the campus is very calm and serene.

The law faculty of the University of Kashmir is the best in the entire valley of Kashmir. It has a robust law society with an incredible staff. The environment is serene as well with magnificent university gardens and parks.

Academic is good over there rather the best you can find in Kashmir. The library is well equipped too with a good collection of books. Some of the professors are exceptional and focus on the practical aspects of law as well.

Law faculty has an active internship and placement cell that provides internship opportunities and training to the students. Many students of law faculty are studying in the world's greatest universities including Oxford, Hongkong University, and Queen Marry, and have been placed in firms like Tri Legal, Vidhi, and so on.

I think the money that I spent was worth it. The Courses at law faculty are affordable around 14k per year and that makes it accessible to all sections of society. As it is a government institute with an NAC ranking of A++.

Campus life is lively with beautiful china trees and gardens that make you feel that you are in a heaven laden with natural beauty. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. Apart from that there are almost weekly events and seminars. It is located in the center of Harzratbal Srinagar with accessible transportation.

Excellent, the university has WiFi connectivity and overall infrastructure is nice. Some old buildings might need little bit of renovation, otherwise the university has up-to-date infrastructure and facilities.

Good academic fields. Students has a variety of choices to choose from and a nice faculty to understand problems. Overall good department and the quality of teaching is also nice. The classes are taken regularly and completes degree on time .

Provide placements in some courses, but not in all courses. Although placements are given but the rate is very less and not every year the university is able to provide placements . It would be better if the university works on providing placements to the students that graduate.

There are no placement facilities provided by college. Average package secured by student was 5 lakhs per annum and the Highest package was 8 lakhs that went to M. Tech student. The college has been a great support.
