The college faces challenges in placement, with only 20 to 30 percent of students being placed. The highest annual package reached 5 LPA, the lowest was 2 LPA, and the average was 3.5 LPA Most students are already working professional they are just doing b.com from open University for promotion

YCMOU has a well-stocked library with a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources .The campus offers various amenities for students, including hostels, canteens, sports facilities, and recreational areas.
I did my bachelor's degree in commerce from YCMOU . the syllabus does strengthen your bacis of finance and accounting. The YCMOU nashik has its own syllabus designed especially for distant learning . The YCMOU website has pdf of all the books required in syllabus.
being an open university, YCMOU typically does not have the same level of structured placement services as traditional universities with campus-based programs. But if you can jobs in banks if prepare for placement on your own .
Government University that's why fees is very low .
Campus is good
Overall the university is good.
College building is old but it's maintained well . It's a distant learning centre so college building, classroom infrastructure does not play a great part in learning process . There is central library for students . You can also get access to books though official website where you can download pdf of books.
I am doing my masters degree in business administration from YCMOU distant learning centre . The curriculum is little out dated according to me . the study material YCMOU provides to students is good quality .
It's a open University so it's not really for placement. If you want job from degree of YCMOU you have to prepare on your own. But this degree can help you if you are a working persons this degree will help you In promotion.

YCMOU has its own syllabus . The academic programs at YCMOU Nashik are comprehensive and well -structured , providing BA students with a strong foundation in field of arts , history and literature .
YCMOU Nashik's placement support for Arts bachelors is excellent . The university's dedicated placement cell provides guidance and resources, helping students secure opportunities in various fields, including education, media, and public services.

I am studying BA and there is no placements for BA . But you can use this BA degree to take admission in b.ed and after that you can get placements as a teacher. May be there is placements for MBA or B.com students but not for other courses as per my knowledge.

Hello,
Since you've completed your BA from YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University) without passing the HSC exam, eligibility depends on whether the MPSC recognizes your degree as equivalent to a regular graduation. Generally, a preparatory exam from YCMOU can be considered an alternative to HSC, but it’s important to verify this with MPSC's latest eligibility criteria.
I recommend contacting the MPSC or checking their official notifications for specific guidelines on candidates with non-standard educational paths like yours. You may also need to present additional documentation to confirm the equivalency of your qualification.
