Abdulla Degree College, Budaun Admission Process

Abdulla Degree College, located within the precincts of Budaun, is a co-educational institution in Uttar Pradesh, India, which now runs several undergraduate courses, wherein some teacher education programs are given recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Abdulla Degree College usually processes admissions through merit, using the performance of a candidate in High School and Intermediate examinations for selection. Merit lists are prepared by the college with students' marks in qualifying examination for the courses BA and B.Com. Such measure is introduced to create a more level platform for pursuing their career path by students again anchored on academic.

Eligibility criteria differ by admission programs but in general, undergraduates could apply having completed their High School from a recognized board. Further, in the case of teacher education, like B.Ed and D.El.Ed, it can get even stricter depending on NCTE criteria for such programs.

Application Process

  1. Announcements in Admission: The college announces the start of the admission process through proper notifications and through the local media.

  2. Download Application Forms: Interested candidates can collect their application forms personally from the college campus, or download them from the official website.

  3. Filling of Form: The applicant shall fill in the application form carefully ensuring to fill in all his/her personal and academic details.

  4. Document Submission: They must apply along with the fill-in application form by also attaching:

    • Passport size photographs

    • Marksheets of qualifying examinations (10th and 12th)

    • Character certificate from the last attended institution

    • Transfer certificate (if applicable)

    • Caste certificate (for students from reserved category)

    • Any other certificate as per requirement by the college.

  5. Application Form Submission: The completed application form, along with the required documents, has to reach the college admission office, before the last date.

  6. Merit List Preparation: Merit list shall be prepared by the college on the basis of marks obtained at qualifying examination for BA and B.Com programs, whereas, for B.Ed and D.El.Ed, the entrance examination scores would also be brought into consideration, as by the state government taking necessary steps.

  7. Merit List Publication: The merit list would be put up on the notice board of the college, as well as through any other means as decided by the college.

  8. Confirming Admission: The selected candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee for confirming admission and also submit original documents for verification during the specified time.

  9. Orientation: There should be oriented an orientation program for new students to enlighten them about the rules and laws of the college and the facilities.

Degree-wise Admission Process

  • B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is permitted to take 50 students. Admission to the B.Ed. program is only on merit based on the results of the qualifying examination and/or the performance in the entrance examination. The selection procedure shall be subject to the policies of the state government of Uttar Pradesh and the affiliating university. A candidate should meet the NCTE eligibility criteria.

  • D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program also has an approved intake of 50 seats. The admissions are based on the merit of marks in qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination whichever applicable depending upon the policies of the respective state or union territory. Usually, the minimum required marks in 10+2 must be an eligibility criterion.

  • B.A.: Bachelor of Arts (BA) follows admission through merit based on acquired marks in High School and Intermediate examinations. Candidates should qualify the minimum percentage criterion accepted by the college.

  • B.Com: Again admission to Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is on the basis of merit according to High School and Intermediate examination marks. Students must qualify the subject requirements and minimum percentage.
