Abhilashi Group of Institutions School of Pharmacy and Engineering and Technology, Mandi, is known as a famous institute for the pharmaceutical education of the state of Himachal Pradesh. Affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, the college provides numerous programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in pharmacy. The admission process at Abhilashi Group of Institutions is aimed to select the most qualified and promising candidates for its various programs. Generally, the entire admission cycle runs quite as per the academic calendar of Himachal Pradesh University. For admission into B.Pharma, the institute follows Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur. This entrance examination is conducted typically around May-June, with instant publication of results. The basic eligibility criterion for B.Pharma is passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidates are considered for admission to this program based on their performance in their B.Pharma degree and perhaps on scores from an entrance test. To be eligible for admission into the M.Pharma programs, students should have completed their B.Pharma from a listed institution and should have obtained an aggregate of at least 55% marks (50% in case of the reserved category).

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: Programme in B.Pharma under Abhilashi Group of Institutions has an intake of 60 seats. HPCET is mainly responsible for merit basis of admission for this particular program. This program has been structured to provide students with general knowledge on the subjects of pharmaceutical sciences over this four-year period.
M.Pharma Pharmacognosy: Available in this postgraduate program is an intake of 15 seats, and admission will be based on B.Pharma scores though an entrance test may also be given. The program is based on studying medicinal substances derived from natural resources.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry: This course has an intake of 9 seats and engages in the chemical aspect of pharmaceutical chemicals. The criteria for admission are governed by the same perceptions as for any other M.Pharma program. That is B.Pharma performance and possible entrance test.
M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: This offers 6 seats, is the study of science and technology of drug delivery systems, and is an area of study considered for admission on the basis of B.Pharma record and may include an entrance test.
B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 60 seats are offered for a B.Tech program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Since specific admission details are not provided, it is safe to assume that admission follows other engineering programs in the state, also possibly through HPCET or JEE scores.
